PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This free Operation Encompass training is available to all staff in schools and education settings including early years’ settings, Health Visitors and other professionals.
The Key Adult referred to throughout Operation Encompass is the educational settings' Safeguarding Lead.
All Designated Safeguarding staff should undertake this online training and police forces will not share information until the training has been completed.
The Key Adult training will support you in developing the skills and knowledge to fully and safely embed Operation Encompass in your school or education setting and is supported by the handbooks and guides available free for you to download from the Operation Encompass website.
Due to the different delivery methods of Operation Encompass Notifications in police forces, the Key Adult Training mentions both the delivery by telephone call and secure electronic notifications.
The training takes on average 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete, the main modules being of equal length.
The additional resources, referenced in the training, are there for you to download and read in your own time.
Please Note: If you are part of a MAT or group (chain) of Early Years’ settings, the Safeguarding Lead in each individual school or setting must complete the training and must be the person who receives the notification from the police.
ALL school staff are invited to complete the Key Adult training as part of their personal professional development.
Key Adults, Safeguarding Officers (SO, DSL or deputy):
On completion of the Key Adult training, please download your certificate and contact info@operationencompass.org with the details of your school/setting and the police force that your school/setting is in.
